Interaction Designer

iRise is a rapidly growing software company that provides a unique
visualization platform to Fortune 500 companies. Using iRise software,
organizations simulate and validate the user experience of custom web
applications before a single line of code is written. iRise has
headquarters in Los Angeles with branch offices in San Francisco, New
York and Chicago and is privately held.

Job Description

iRise is looking for an experienced Interaction Designer. This person
will report to the VP of Product Management and join a team of
Interaction Designers, Visual Designers, and Product Managers in
defining and designing the next generation of all iRise products.
Design plays a strategic role at iRise, so it has visibility and support
from the very top of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

* Design the form and function of both fat client and thin client
software applications
* Participate in user research to identify underlying needs/goals
* Contribute to general innovation around product features
* Write and update design specification documents
* Work with engineering team to deliver successful products
* Produce deliverables on time
* Encourage creativity, innovation, and design excellence

Job Qualifications

* Impressive portfolio of prior work in software design
* Strong visual design capabilities in addition to interaction
* Extremely creative individual
* Fluency in both fat client and thin client software design
* Experience with enterprise software a plus
* Experience in product design or industrial design a plus
* Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and
* Four-year undergraduate degree required
