We’re looking for an exceptionally talented Interactive Art Director
with extensive interactive experience and a well-rounded design
background to join this highly creative, award-winning San Francisco
advertising firm.

The Interactive Art Director’s role is to initially collaborate on
overall campaign ideas with art director/writer teams and lead the
interactive-specific ideas. Other than the Creative Director, the
Interactive Art Director will generally be the most senior ‘hands-on'
creative for an interactive design project or online creative
campaign, working closely with the Design Director, Creative Director
and Art Director. The ideal candidate should have developed solid
problem solving abilities to a degree where each design project is
not seen in isolation. But rather, they will also be able to look at
the ‘bigger picture' in a creative or advertising campaign,
incorporating best design and technology practices to provide
cohesive support of overall creative strategies.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years agency experience and formal
design training with solid typography, graphic, and interaction
design skills. An in-depth knowledge of appropriate usage of the
latest versions of Flash (including ActionScript) PhotoShop,
ImageReady, Illustrator, Indesign, Shockwave, Director, Dreamweaver
(and other web authoring/motion graphic tools), Fireworks, and
Freehand is required. Understanding of HTML, DHTML, and JavaScript
(rollovers, pop-ups) and the capabilities of web browsers and user
interaction are essential.

- Excellent understanding of composition, color, imagery,

- Strong working experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,
and Flash and image optimization for web

- Experience creating and working with site maps, online ad
rich media storyboards, user flow, wireframes, and other information
design documents for web sites and online advertsing

- Experience working with various online ad design specs and
media requirements

- Excellent understanding of user experience issues

- Solid experience creating Web graphics, animations, user
interfaces, icons, style sheets, color schemes, templates and layouts
for use in online advertising and web site projects, ensuring site-
wide color and typeface standards and consistency.

- Experience providing art direction to Flash and Web Developers

- Ability to self-manage projects and work within time deadlines

- Team oriented, self-motivated

Bachelors degree in graphic design or commensurate experience
