I'm an internal UX designer working with stakeholders to define our template
for communicating product requirements.

I am familiar with the Cooper and Berkun articles (and others) related to
documenting product design processes, but was hoping other might share
templates (or at least outlines) that have worked well in their
organizations...and that include for users, user goals, scenarios, etc.

Thanks a lot,

Bret,

"Users, goals, scenarios" are the bricks of "Use Cases".
Use Cases are (seem to be) the way for to specify interaction before
starting design.
You benefit from use cases by being able to change then with ease,
easier as you make them more technology-neutral.

This is a use case template:
http://tecnosol.com.ar/gigi/doc/uc01.html
and a related users and goals listing
http://tecnosol.com.ar/gigi/doc/usecases.html
for such a simple interface I find difficult to explain it bacause
it's so obvious.
