User Interface Designer, D&B Global Platforms - 6 month contract
The Global Platforms group at Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) is an exemplary

product development team within D&B. It currently provides software
innovation and solutions to D&B worldwide. The company is in an

Talented, creative and motivated User Interface Designer needed to
contribute to the user interface design of a web-based, financial
product. The work is challenging and intellectually stimulating.
Strong analytical skills, unwavering commitment to quality and
collaborative work ethic are best fit! The newly hired individual will
join the existent 6-person Web Production team and play an active role
in all aspects of front-end development, from functional walkthroughs,
technical designs, and implementations for product releases.
Team up with Senior User Interface Designers and Product Managers to
design easy-to-use, innovative and award-winning user interfaces.
Create mockups, HTML prototypes and user interface guidelines.
Interact with on-shore and off-shore JAVA engineers to implement
sophisticated, user-centric interfaces.
Support user research and usability testing efforts to ensure that the
user interface is useful and extremely easy to use.
Play an active role in establishing a winning culture and environment.
Ability to translate business requirements and use cases into highly
usable and innovative web-based applications.
Thorough understanding of designing for the web, and the implications
of dynamic interface design.
2+ years experience with authoring HTML/XHTML/CSS in cross browser environment.
Ability to rapidly produce visual design concepts via visual design
tools including Visio, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Working knowledge of Flash is a definite plus.
Working knowledge on developing AJAX is a plus.
Domain experience in financial services is a plus.
