Job Opening: Director, User Centered Design - Cisco

Reporting directly to the SVP Voice Technology Solutions and strongly backed
by the CEO this newly created position is responsible for leading UX across
Cisco's VTG. In line with Cisco's corporate theme FY07 of "Leading User
Experience", this is a highly pivotal role that will see you take control of
all user experience in a lead category that represents some 90% of Cisco's
products that have UX and is growing at 40% a year. This will place you at
the heart of one of the world's largest technology companies.
You will build and manage a team of specialists responsible for the
research, design, specification and testing of the ultimate integrated user
experience. To be successful, you must be an industry leader and UX
authority. You will have the evangelical, managerial and operational skills
necessary to deliver user experience that is compelling, enjoyable, fun and
will be a key differentiator for Cisco.
You will be a senior member of the UX community and have also managed teams
of researchers, designers and external partner agencies. You will be able to
demonstrate a proven track record in developing and delivering successful,
integrated, intuitive, and exciting designs that contribute toward market
leadership. You will also be a team player and work well with peers in other
organizations to balance priorities and objectives.
