WHITTMANHART is a premier consulting agency providing integrated solutions
in digital communications, process improvement, and enabling technologies
through its two business divisions: Interactive and Performance Management.
Our Milwaukee office is looking for a User Experience Architect to join our
Interactive team.

The User Experience Architect is a critical part of the user-centered design
process. The User Experience Designer initiates a project by identifying
requirements for functionality and defining the user experience; documents
functional specifications and resolves design issues throughout the project;
and ensures the usefulness and usability of the finished product.

Role Description

. Employ user-centered design processes to ensure that information is useful
and usable

. Communicate and document design decisions effectively

. Understand and diagram relationships between site content or features

. Explore and select different visual/physical representations of content or
features

. Develop controlled vocabularies and document relationships between terms

. Develop hierarchical classification systems for navigation or other
categorization needs

. Establish approach to requirements gathering, prioritizing, and tracking

. Establish, document, maintain and revise functional specifications

. Document all levels of prototypes through final specifications to include
UI behaviors, user interaction models, workflow, interaction requirements,
etc.

. Plan, execute and document user interviews and usability tests

Requirements:

. A degree in a related field, such as technical communications,
human-computer interaction, library science, graphic design, or industrial
design

. 2-3 years experience developing highly interactive and content-rich
websites or applications

. Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions

. Experience observing user research and translating user research into
design decisions

. Working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, graphic formats, CSS,
popular plug-ins, authoring tools and database environments.

. Proficiency in Visio
