Recommended graphics agencies?

Hi everyone,

My company is looking for a graphics design agency to provide visual design concepts (color scheme, iconography, styling, aesthetics, etc) for an enterprise product. We have an in-house UX team who is responsible for use case analysis, low-fi and hi-fi mockups. It is important we find someone who can work within the boundaries of our design to create an elegant/polished look & feel that can be applied consistently throughout the product.

Let's meetup!

Freshly back from the IxDA conference in Dublin and full of inspiration, I feel like I should put some energy into the London IxDA local group. I think it's time we drummed up some support and made an effort to get some meetups/talks/drinks going. I'd be happy to help out getting this sort of thing going. How about a quick beer one evening with those interested to hatch some plans?

I'm sure we can also recruit some of the other London based conference goers we met over the past few days.

Does it worth doing a 7000£ Masters to become a UX designer?

Dear IXDA,

I have been a member of a few months now, since I have decided that I would like to specialise my career towards UX design after a degree in Multimedia Tech. and Design.

I have been pondering on what makes a UX designer, how does one call oneself as a HCI specialist or UX designer, there are hardly any specialised degrees on this subject.

Creating a usability database

I'm looking to get the company running usability across many brands and have been thinking how to go about ensuring an ongoing source of testing participants.

Has anyone thought about building a list of people who would be willing to act as testers for some usability? I know that there are commercial lists available, but surely we could generate a more "open source" option.

Let me know your thoughts...
