IxDA Cincinnati

Message to the group

Our IxDA chapter brings together Cincinnati professionals into a knowledge-sharing and learning community. We believe superior user experience is directly linked with great interaction design, and that idea sharing is key in building knowledge and creating best in class experiences. Face-to-face meet-ups, professional networking, exploring new design patterns, interactions, approaches, and informal idea sharing are some of the ways we can build a sense of community among Cincinnati professionals.

The group will focus on creating initiatives and opportunities in:

  • informal networking events focused on idea sharing and brainstorming
  • formal discussions and presentations
  • book reviews, invited talks, and more

Hey IxDA Cincinnati!

Hey All,

I'm currently a manager of a Software Design team in California and am a member of IxDA LA.

I grew up and still have family in the Cincinnati area, and I happened to find this group while searching Facebook.  While I no longer live in the area, I was pleased to see an IxDA group there.  I'm looking forward to see how the UX community grows in Cincinnati and will gladly participate in any events that are going on in the future when I'm in town visiting my family.

Enjoy your November event!

The Banks Project

Being new to the greater Cincinnati area, one of the first things I became aware of was The Banks project. What I most frequently hear is skepticism and doubt as to whether it will ever be realized. From what I can surmise, recent progress includes beginning construction on residential and retail developments.

Any informal or social meetings or events planned in the area?

I recently started working in the Cincinnati area and was just curious if this group has any planned or unplanned meet ups or social events? If no social events or meetups are happening, I would be interested in participating in some networking and design discussions with others in this group.

How is the scene down here for UI / UX and the like?
