Event description:

Designers have an ongoing desire to understand their audiences better. This is true even for designers who may lack deep expertise in user research theory or methods. How do we conduct user research in fast-paced environments, where project scope and budgets often don¹t seem allow much "real” research at all?

This evening will be an opportunity to learn more about the importance, value, and methodology of user research. Two experts will share their knowledge from agency and corporate environments. Learn how to do meaningful and practical research which needs less than months of effort; how to create insights; and how to offer actionable outcomes and recommendations to sponsors, connecting it to the production work at hand.

The evening will include special treatment of ethnography — an increasingly important research method in the private sector.

Many thanks to Critical Mass for making space available for this event.Refreshments will be provided.
