is a field that is getting really old... really fast. It came on the
scene promising instances of glory and grandeur, and has instead fallen
flat on its ideals and promises. Why isn’t UX bringing us the wonder
that it has promised? Well, in short, it’s because it has begun to move
backward in a big way. In this talk Lis will explore why and how UX is
de-evolving from a field of design thinking to a field of wireframe
machines, what problems this causes our web and mobile teams, the
solutions to this de-evolution and how we get to a place where UX is
delivering as it said it would. This talk is for anyone that works on
products that are used by people and whom is interested in learning how
UX should be integrated into their teams, for optimal results. It is a
discussion not to be missed.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER Lis Hubert - As an independent consultant based in New York City, Lis helps
to bring understanding to businesses of all sizes in order to ensure
their products and services meet both business and user needs, and are
successful and enjoyable to use. If you're unable to find Lis busily maintaining her consulting business (where she has worked with clients such as ESPN Mobile, espnW and ViacomMedia Networks to improve brand and product experiences), you can find her contributing to the knowledge of the UX community
either by serving on the advisory board for Future Insights, a role
which enables her to help bring new ideas and topics to the design
community, or by serving as a local leader for the NYC IxDA Chapter.
But, Lis doesn't just work behind the scenes, you can also find her
speaking and writing about her experiences in the field in cities from New York to Prague!
