Event description:

When you hear "accessibility," you think "screen readers," right? You wouldn't be alone, but there's much more to accessibilty than that. In this event, guest speaker Michelangelo Iaffaldano will lead a discussion on

  • what an accessible product is,
  • principles of accessibility,
  • examples of inaccessible UIs from well-known products, and
  • how to design an accessible product.

Michelangelo Iaffaldano is a Toronto designer, visual artist and musician, currently working at the Bank of Montreal. He has previously led the web accessibility initiative at a large Ontario government agency. Michelangelo is joined by Bill Gregory, developer and Senior Accessibility Engineer at The Paciello Group.

Place: Mozilla Toronto, 366 Adelaide St W, Suite 500

Time: July 2, 7pm – 9pm
