Event description:

We hope you can join us as Doug Scamahorn, UX Discipline Lead at Fusion Alliance, presents his methodology for a successful redesign. Doug will share how to refine the user experience, while exploring new and relevant trends.

"RE:DESIGNING? RE:THINK, INSPI:RE" will cover key redesign principals from a fresh perspective, including research, design, content, interaction and technology, and how these elements come together to create an experience that touches on magical. Please come with a trend-setting site you'd like to include in the discussion.

Doug has about 15 years of experience in design and user experience. For over a decade of evolution Doug has been guiding exceptional teams, strategically placing boxes and arrows, beautifully pushing pixels, and methodically closing tags. Working with suits in the c-suite to two people in a warehouse, Doug has collaborated on designs that engage emotions, establish trust, encourage action, and, the most rewarding, improve lives.

This month's IxDA Cincinnati event be sponsored by Great American Insurance in downtown Cincinnati. Refreshments will be served. The event will be Thursday, March 21st from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM.

20 Mar 2013 - 7:33pm

Parking information: We recommend parking at The Banks. If you park in the garage under the Freedom Center, the stairs will put you on 3rd street. Directly north of the stairs, you'll be able to see the Dixie Terminal with the Great American sign on the top. (The Dixie Terminal Building is only 5 stories tall compared to the Great American Tower which is 42 stories tall.) Signs hanging from the ceiling in the Banks parking garage will let you know when you are in the Freedom Center portion of the garage.

21 Mar 2013 - 2:04pm

Will the speaker start at 5:30 or will there be networking and such prior? Just curious b/c I don't think I can make it by 5:30, but can if things don't get started until 6:30 or so. Thanks!
