For these years, IxDA Taiwan community has been working behind the scenes with efforts. For the first time, the community is invited by IxDA this year. We believe the sharing goal of Redux events and try to bring Interaction conference talks and ideas back to the local IxDA groups so that the inspiration and knowledge from the conference can reach as many people as possible. Equipped with a sense of mission to connect Taiwan interaction design to the world, the We broadly invites experts both from Taiwan and Asia-Pasific to participate, sharing the ideas of Interaction12' conference and demonstrating the power of Interaction Design in Taiwan to the world.
The role of Interaction Design gradually becomes more important with the concept of "soft power" and "user orientation". Interaction Design makes products gain users' satisfaction and loyalty, makes products unique, and brings users positive changes in life. As designers planning for the "interaction" between products and users, we often think of these questions: If we were the interface of a product, how can we help users? If the users are fathers or grandmothers, what limitations of interaction will they encounter? A designer should bear in mind the overall ideas throughout the design process, from capturing the expression and attention of users, creating delight to delivering meaning, in order to serve the deed of designing in same position, same feeling and sympathetic manner.
The theme of the IxDA Taiwan Redux this year is “Handling Sympathy.” During the session, development tracks of modern interaction designs will be reviewed, and visions of future development will be discussed. Participants from all fields in Taiwan are expected to gain constructive views for future interaction design, boosting the competitiveness of Taiwan Interaction Design power as well as bringing innovation and advancement between academic and industrial fields.
