Collaging
- a workshop facilitated by Dan Seward

Ever needed a way to understand how your users feel about your product?  Sometimes asking them will do the trick, but sometimes people can't really figure out how to articulate or even approach their emotional take on a topic.  There are other ways to get at how people relate to a product, service, concept, environment, etc.

One of these techniques is collaging.  Asking people to collect and organize images as a starting point for discussion can be an interesting, fun way to spark user insight.  For this small workshop, we'll briefly introduce the concept of collage and discuss situations when you might need to use this as a research tool.  Different approaches will be explored.  Then we'll do some interactive collage and try to make sense of our creations through a group analysis activity.  Come prepared to be a little creative and a little critical - your thoughts on the process are definitely welcome!  If you could bring a magazine or two that you don't mind being cut apart, that would also be great.

When:
Weds 3rd November October
Doors open 6.00pm
Workshop starts 6.30pm

For who:
All Interaction Designers/User Experience people/Anyone with a general interest are welcome.
