Accolo is hiring Visual/Graphic Designers (long term contract position) on behalf of Thomson Reuters. We are seeking exceptional Visual Designers to design the user interface for Thomson Reuters' financial services products for investment managers. You will thrive in our collaborative team environment, where you will work closely with product managers and interaction designers to apply your fresh and creative ideas to cutting-edge user interfaces. Given the complex nature of our end-user’s business, we are considering only those applicants with experience in visual design for desktop applications or complex web-based applications developed in Java, Flash, Silverlight or similar rich media.

As a Visual Designer for Thomson Reuters in the downtown San Francisco, CA offices (close to Embarcadero BART station) your primary responsibility will be designing and delivering creative and clean visual design solutions. Working closely with interaction designers, you will be responsible for all phases of the design process, including concept development, look and feel, graphic design, and production. Your expert design skills with Photoshop, Illustrator and other design applications will prove essential as you tackle design problems like color selection or branding. Your ability to understand the specific needs of customers will be crucial as you design the most effective solutions for users. Experience working with xaml and/or WPF front-end design is a plus. Applicants should have a strong online portfolio, be able to demonstrate a knowledge and application of core visual/graphic design principles.
