Description: 

Cisco is seeking a User Experience Lead for Design to join the User Experience team for the Cisco's Support web site.

In this position you will be working closely with business stakeholders, product managers, human scientists and analysts, architects, other user-centered designers, Prototyping function, and IT engineers to define the user experience of Cisco's technical services offerings, such as security, and downloads.

Responsibilities:
* Identify user interface requirements; help define project approach and user experience strategy for online presence of Cisco Service and Support.
* Work with UE team and business leadership to develop and articulate end-end user experience for new and existing service offerings


* Translate business, user and architecture requirements into design solutions.
* Work with user researchers to test designs
* Create User Experience Specifications, (including wireframes, use cases and task flow diagrams, information architecture diagrams, redlines, and lo-fidelity prototypes) in compliance with existing UI standards and create UI standards for new, novel UI requirements as needed.
* Define the conceptual design and user interaction model. Suggest end-end site direction based on field research and functional requirements


* Work with visual designers to refine the interactive experience and produce production-ready visual assets consistent with Cisco's brand and overall Cisco.com design guidelines


* Work closely with prototyping team to come up with high fidelity prototypes that represent both the visual identity and interaction model required to ensure user success


* Work with usability engineers to design, observe, and analyze usability studies


* Work closely with engineers to implement and deliver the final solution


* Facilitate project communication across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project




Qualifications:


* 7+ years of experience designing user interfaces for websites (Support focus a plus)


* Bachelors degree (Master''s preferred) in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design, or related field.
* Experience leading the redesign of a large-scale website with multiple stakeholders, a variety of underlying technologies, distributed on multiple platforms and comprised of rich content and applications.
* Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, strong communication skills; and the ability to quickly prioritize tasks


* Ability to translate research and requirements into design solutions in the form of presentations, prototypes, and design specifications.
* Experience developing designs that are tested and improved in rapid iterations.
* Must communicate clearly and effectively; strong analytical and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; a self-starter that is able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team


* Experience designing web-based applications is required


* Experience designing using web 2.0 concepts and RIA’s is desirable


* Some experience with behavioral targeting, personalization, portal experiences, extranet experiences and B2B commerce is a strong plus.



A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or Computer Science, and at least 5 years of experience conducting usability research and doing data driven internet UI design.

This position can sit anywhere in the US or Canada however our preference would be San Jose, CA.
