User Experience Coordinator (Entry Level to Mid-Level CONTRACT Position) – Portsmouth, NH 

The Liberty Mutual Personal Markets Web Experience Team has an outstanding opportunity for a User Experience Coordinator.

The User Experience Coordinator improves the usability of public-facing websites and online applications to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction of the online experience for our customers. The User Experience Coordinator works closely with the project team to understand users’ intentions and to test functional designs and prototypes in keeping with users’ goals and the company’s business objectives.

The company is looking for a User Experience Coordinator who is comfortable working in a corporate environment. This is a 37.5 hour per week (5 days per week), contractor position through the end of 2010 with the possibility of extension. The position is based in Portsmouth, NH, but will require work in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities 

·       Work with project team to determine project goals (user and business needs), and project constraints

·       Coordinate set up for usability testing

·       Prepare materials for usability testing, including participant folders, recruiting screeners, moderator’s scripts, and note grids

·       Participate actively in usability testing, including note-taking and moderating, to understand user behaviors and preferences

·       Analyze the results from usability tests, and write up findings in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·       Create low- to medium-fidelity prototypes and wireframes

·       Document end-to-end user experience, including user workflows and specific UI screens and components

·       Additional responsibilities may include supporting the Information Architect with ongoing project work

Requirements

·       Received or pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human factors, information design, information architecture, graphic design, usability, or business administration

·       Demonstrated interest in user-centered design, interactive design, and cognitive psychology

·       Must have meticulous attention to detail

·       Experience in running usability tests and writing expert (heuristic) reviews

·       Experience creating prototypes and wireframes

·       Experience using Morae

·       Experience using Microsoft Office

·       Experience juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

·       Ability to think creatively to come up with solutions

·       Excellent presentation and communication skills

·       Work independently while effectively communicating with both external and internal clients

·       Graphic/visual design skills a plus

·       Experience with rapid prototyping a plus

·       Understanding of information architecture a plus

·       Familiar with the tools of graphic design, screen layout, and visual design (Photoshop, Visio, Omnigraffle, Azure, iRise wireframing software)
