UI/UX Project Manager-CONTRACT

Are you a Project Manager who has driven the functional specifications of consumer facing sites to completion? Have you successful worked with product managers, designers, writers, developers, QA staff, and release managers to manage multiple projects through to launch?

What you get to do every day:

• Manage and drive the total project life cycle of Internet related projects for the Nickelodeon Kids and Family Games Group
• Determine and manage the project scope; Create clear and attainable project objectives and build the project requirements
• Plan, execute, and close any project within budget and on time
• Manage project tasks, resources, timelines and delivery dates, risk management and intra-company communication
• Develop project requirements, functional requirements, technical requirements, use cases, based on business requirements, consumer insights and company capabilities
• Develop project roadmaps and detailed project schedules
• Coordinate with site production (project management, creative, editorial, etc.) and engineering to establish resource needs and best practices for feature and site development
• Manage cross-functional project teams including but not limited to Product Development, Legal, Creative, Editorial, Engineering, QA and Customer Support
• Communicate frequently with project stakeholders: provide regular status reports and develop informed deployment strategies
• Make decisions in such a way that risk is controlled and uncertainly minimized
• Manage expectations, unstated assumptions, solve issues and conflict than can impact the project or team process
• Recognize opportunities that can benefit the project, the team and/or the organization
• Escalate to senior management whenever decisions must be made that alter project deliveries
• QA final deliveries to ensure requested and delivered feature sets match original requirements and quality standards
• Accomplish the stated project objectives and ensure client satisfaction

What you bring to the role in your professional toolkit:
• 3+ years of relevant experience managing web development projects in the online entertainment and/or ecommerce space
• Extensive project management experience with a proven track record of organizing, prioritizing and keeping projects on schedule and budget
• Strong knowledge of web development processes including experience gathering requirements, creative review processes and writing functional design documents
• Proven ability to manage or leading a cross-functional team of a combination of design, production and engineering resources
• Self-directed, detail-oriented individual to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• Ability to implement workflow processes that maximizes efficiency for the development team
• Knowledge of MS Project, various development techniques and user interface design
• Knowledge of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledgeable foundation in interaction design principles
• Knowledge and passion for interactive entertainment and games is preferred
• An ability to interact and communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization with diplomacy and tact
• Excellent decision making skills with a knack for identifying, prioritizing, and articulating the highest impact initiatives
• Able to meet deliverables and drive your work to completion within specified timelines
• Great communication skills both written and verbal
• Able to present ideas and solutions to many audiences including senior management
• Can work cross functionally in many areas without being constrained by your job function
