Our product is paramount at Mint.com. As a company we are
maniacally focused on delivering a jaw-dropping experience with undeniable
value for our users. Mint's Product team is looking for an extremely
talented web designer with diverse experience to fill our Senior Web
Designer position, focusing on business development initiatives. As a
member of the product design team This designer will work closely with
ixd'ers and visual designers, the marketing team, and engineering, to
execute ideas from initial specification through web-ready deliverables in
HTML, CSS, and binary.


Responsibilities:

* Work closely with Mint's business development team to produce,
design, sketch, and execute design projects.
* Code primarily in HTML + CSS. Design in
Photoshop/Illustrator/whatever tools you need.
* Collaborate with biz dev, product design, marketing, and
engineering to integrate and prototype designs.
* Provide coaching and advise collaborators on best practices in
your domain. Either know how to test your ideas, or welcome learning how.
* Maintain a deliberate cross-browser design/delivery strategy,
employing clean, efficient use of web standards and high performance
optimization.
* Focus on simple and clean experiences.
* Stay current on browser/platform capabilities and traditional
design & engineering disciplines. Maintain and continually expand upon
expert knowledge of browsers, languages, tools, devices, applications, and
the environments in which your audience interacts with your work.
* Demonstrate an expert understanding of products, product lines,
product development process and the specific markets in which Mint does
business.
Qualifications : Requirements

* Outstanding portfolio of proven, innovative, solid work,
displaying command of advertising sensibility, color harmony, grid
systems, HTML + CSS, prototyping, sketching in code, typography,
documentation, and layout...and most of all, meticulous pixel-perfect
detail.
* Passion for Mint's mission and vision, passion for elegant,
intuitive user interfaces, and passion for strong, creative brands.
* Ability to use relevant Mac OS X-based design applications
(TextMate, Photoshop, CSSEdit/Espresso/Coda, InDesign, Keynote, etc.).
Which leads us to...
* Expertise in the tools required to do your work, and the drive
to maintain that expertise and share it with others.
* Clear communication, organization, and writing abilities.
* Experience writing style guides, sourcing and managing
contractors, and building a team.
* Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities,
demands and changes.
* BS/BFA, any discipline.
* 5+ years of related experience (7+ years in lieu of a degree)
Bonus

* Canvas, and the ways to deal with it in IE. SVG, too.
* Illustrative or other visually-artistic talent
* Familiarity with YUI
* Knowledge of the PFM market, loans, mortgages, tuition, taxes,
etc.
* Creative sensibility. Illustration, audio production, motion
graphics, fine art, info viz, flash or flex. If you know Processing, we
love you.
* Portfolio displaying creative interests outside work
* Likes yearly Tahoe trips
