UI Graphics is part of the Digital Identity team within
Nokia Design and is based in London and Helsinki. The core challenge for this
team is to create the look & feel and behaviour of user interfaces across
Nokia’s portfolio of products and services. This exciting role will see you
create relevance, differentiation and clarity to our digital asset by designing
world-class visual communication design. You will assist in the creation of a coherent
Nokia cross-platform UI digital identity which evokes emotions and provides
delightful multi-sensorial user experiences. Key to this role is defining
metaphors and icon styles across a range of handsets and operating systems.
You will have a degree in a field such as visual design, industrial design or
interaction design with a minimum of five years experience working in digital
UI design. You will be a recognised industry expert in the design of visual
communication with experience in metaphor design, global symbology and HCI. An
understanding of information design, interaction design and user interface
design is essential. Mobile experience would be preferable but is not a must, we would
however expect you to have experience on convergent technology and have an
appreciation of platform agnostic design. For example a background in interface
design in the areas of web, gaming or iTV would be of interest.
In return you will be working with one of the most exciting parts of the
business and helping to create and develop the brands digital assets across all
of our touchpoints. You will develop insight through global research and create
compelling design rationale for digital assets.
The closing date for this role is Friday 18th June and as such we will not
accept any applications after this time.
