Be a User Experience Design/Usability intern at RSA, The Security Division of EMC, the premier provider of security solutions for business acceleration and the chosen security partner of more than 90% of the Fortune 500.

We are looking for an intern who has a passion for soliciting requirements and translating them into intuitive user interfaces. You will support and conduct user research, user experience design, and usability testing activities.

You will work closely with UXD team members and other cross-functional stakeholders to support user research, user experience design, and usability testing efforts. You will take ownership in driving usability feedback and usability results to help improve product interfaces through every stage of the product lifecycle. You will iteratively test designs using appropriate validation methods, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and present findings and recommendations to the product team.

Duration: this is a full-time, on-site internship from May through August.

Qualifications
•    Experience in translating end user, business, and technical requirements into interaction design concepts via wireframes and prototypes.
•    Experience in conducting usability tests, UI reviews, and task analyses.
•    Be able to identify priorities based on customer data to influence teams and management stakeholders.
•    Be a solid team player in interdisciplinary teams with strong writing, presentation and project management skills.
•    Have the ability to fuse principles of Human Factors, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Business Analysis, and other skills to promote greater user productivity within our products.

Skills
•    Excellent oral/written communication skills.
•    Be adaptable, a fast learner, and open to working on a variety of diverse work opportunities.
•    Must have initiative and be a self-starter.
•    Be able to effectively communicate usability results and to apply research results to advocate for improvements to the user experience.

Education/Experience
•    Graduate level (Masters or PhD) training in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, User Experience, Cognitive Psychology, or other related discipline.
