The Wall Street Journal is looking for an Information Architect /UX Designer who

organizational skills

- Understands shared product experiences across different mediums
- Thrives on tight deadlines and multiple, parallel projects
- Enjoys working with multi-disciplinary teams
- Understands the capabilities and limitations of HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and Flash
- Is familiar with Visio, OmniGraffle, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and comfortable
learning new technologies
- NOTE:
Previous experience working with Market Data and mobile interfaces a plus
Job Responsibilities:

Conceptualize projects from description to detailed
specifications:
Work as part of the Product team to translate
business goals into interactive solutionsContribute findings on users’ needs, interaction
models and the competitive landscapeProduce creative concepts, prototypes and storyboards
to communicate solutions to core team and major stakeholders
Create
documentation used by Business, Development and QA:
- Site
Maps
- Use
cases
- Detailed
wireframes
- Technical,
editorial, and usability specifications
- Functional
requirements
Contribute
to user research and usability testing
- Work
with the Research team to create testing scripts
- Create
testing materials
- Provide
iterative solutions based on user feedback
Advocate
for the end user
