Job Description:
As a subsidiary fully owned by Huawei Technologies Corporation, Huawei Device Company is one of the four main Business Units of Huawei. It covers various product lines, such as 3G/2G handsets, mobile Broadband terminal, FMC terminals and FWT.

GUI Design Expert (GDE) is a senior job position in a multi-site User Interface (UI) Design Department. GDE would be a participator for design strategy, and take a role as a design guider or director in crucial projects and be responsible for the final design quality. GDE shall report directly to Senior UI Design Manager.

Responsibilities:
- GUI Design and project supervision:
  - To make project plans based on realistic business criteria
  - To lead concept ideation and conduct detailing design, review in-progress work and make recommendation, guaranteeing the right direction
  - To assess the design output, guaranteeing the good design quality 
  - To refine the standards in design methods and build the success criteria of design results
- Design Strategy planning
  - To participate the strategy planning of UI Design Department business development
  - To identify the UI/GUI-related trends and help to make the relevant design strategy
  - To guide the development of GUI design arena to go beyond the competition

Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Visual Design, Multimedia Design, Industrial Design or other related design education background. International top-class design education background preferred
- Above 5 year GUI -related design or/and design management experience in consumer electronics and mobile phone field, and especially in large-scale Tier 1 handset manufacturers worldwide
- Excellent GUI design skills, including Icon, theme, wallpaper, animation design and 3D modelling. Excellent design portfolio or successful design cases needed, especially for the mass-production market
- Deep understanding on real product development
- Good English skills both orally and in written, Mandarin as Secondary Language is welcomed 
- Team spirit and excellent communication skills
- Be strongly willing to understand corporate culture of a large-scale organization
