IxDA Face to Face

To help build a sense of community among interaction design professionals, the Steering Committee is offering its assistance and encouragement to supporters of the Interaction Design Association (IxDA) who want to form groups in their local areas. We hope to foster close-knit local communities of interaction design professionals by providing contexts in which they can get to know their peers, discuss interaction design issues, and learn more about interaction design. Possibilities for local events include meetings, talks, panel discussions, tutorials, workshops, salons, dinners, and other social events for interaction designers and others who practice or are interested in interaction design.

Organizing IxDA Face to Face Events

To start up IxDA Face to Face meetings in your area or form a local IxDA chapter to serve the needs of your interaction design community, contact Josh Seiden, who is the IxDA Local Outreach and Programming Committee Chairs.

The Interaction Design Association is a supporter of UXnet, and we would like to encourage our local IxDA coordinators to support and co-sponsor events with their local UX ambassadors. We also encourage our local IxDA coordinators to develop relationships and work collaboratively with the leadership of other local user experience design organizations.
