iPhone Persona Examples?

Hello IXDA folks,

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm working on a book about user-
centered iPhone design. I'm currently writing about personas and
would like to include examples from designers/researchers other than
myself. Do you have any personas specifically created for iPhone
apps? Or personas that include the iPhone as part of the
description? Would you like to include them in book that will get
worldwide distribution?

Aside from research, what do you do to relate better to users?

I'm a PC regular who was "forced" to use an iMac over the past week to
complete tasks that were very important to me. I succeeded, but there was
plenty of frustration, confusion, and inefficiency.

It struck me that this experience will help me interpret user research

What do YOU do, in addition to user research, to better relate to and
interpret your data? Here are three things I've done:

[EVENT] Birmingham, UK: \'Outside The Box\' - User-testing context-aware mobile technology in the field - A case study

6pm September 17th 2009, User-lab, Birmingham Institute of Art &

Jerome Turner of User-lab discusses his recent experience of
user-testing a GPS tour device around the streets of Birmingham.
Mobile devices are increasingly used to deliver rich information and
context aware experiences, so how do we test the experience with
users? In applications using location-based technology such as GPS
lab testing isn’t possible, so how can we apply lab methods to
testing ‘in the field’, and are they still valid?

While working with Marc to setup this event he wanted to let people know of
a workshop he and Lauralee Alben are co-facilitating at the School of Visual
Arts in New York, the week before he joins us in Boston.

SXSW 2010: "No Touching!" shameless plea

Hello list readers,

The LUNAR Interaction Design team is hoping to give a talk at this year's
SXSW and we need your support to get to Austin this coming year!

For the past few years, touch interfaces have open people's minds to new
ways of interacting with devices in the home and on-the-go. We've been
thinking about contexts where even touch is too much, and exploring trends,
technologies and opportunities for "touchless interfaces" that are already
starting to merge their heads in devices we may already own.

Early registration extended to EuroIA

Sorry for cross-posting.

Well, it seems the Southern Europeans are just now returning from summer
holiday. So in the interest of fairness, we've extended the early
registration deadline for EuroIA until September 12.

But we're not checking passports here :-) Everyone is welcome to join
us for three fabulous days of IA, UX, and things beyond. So come to
Copenhagen September 24 (precons) or 25-26 (full two-track event).
