iPhone app interaction related

This is iPhone application related.
Application UI is already done for S60 phones but we are developing
new version for iPhone as well.

There is a screen that displays a list of devices. For every device
in the list the user can perform one of the following
1. browse into the directory of the device
2. see device properties
3. see home page of the device

Windows Photo Gallery for user testing?

Hello fellow IxDers,
I am getting ready for some user testing for a web site upgrade. I'm
working with a company who is mostly interested in feedback on the
taxonomy and general look and feel of each page of their web site. I
am using .jpgs for this test.

However, I prefer scenario based testing whenever possible to add a
dose of reality to how they see the page, ("See if you can find
information on plant nurseries in your area"). This test will likely
be a combination since you cannot actively "click through".

Designers sought - politics/media/public opinion

As the social mood darkens and economy thickens, some people realize
that the mainstream media is often a marketing tool for shaping the
conversation. Some things are never discussed or mentioned.

What is missing is a little more "fact outing" (of things we're
not talking about) and "full disclosure." (to reveal the
motivations of those pressing opinions). Sadly, some very basic
truths are only talked about in the "alternative media." I would
argue that the information is out there, but not professional and
floating in a sea of misinformation.

Questions about Ix10 Proposals

Just submitted mine...hope many others will do the same.

I do have 2 questions.

1. Last year there was a rule that each person could only submit a
single proposal, but this year I did not see any such rule. I was
planning on puttin gin more than one...is that OK, or will I have to
cull the heard?

2. Speaking of which...I seem to recall that there was going to be an
"open review" process between September 1st and 15th, during which
we could get input from the community at large. I don't see a link
on the conference site, and didn't get any link when I submitted.

Aside from research, what do you do to relate better to users?

Try learning dvorak (an alternative to the QWERTY keyboard layout.) If
you want frustration, there ain't nothing better than messing with the
connection from your brain to your keyboard.

(Worth it in the end though.)
