UXBookClub in St Albans

I know it's pretty close to London, but i've set up a page for St Albans anyway, as there are a few UX types in the area. Would be nice to meet up in a local coffee shop or something to save the trip into London every month.....

RapidRabb.it Prototype Creator launched today

Dear list,

according to the discussion guidelines I want to make you aware of a new
web-based tool for rapid prototyping.

Today we launched the RapidRabb.it Prototype Creator (http://rapidrabb.it),
a collaborative editor for interactive wireframes. This tool finally allows
for real time collaboration in your prototyping, just like in Google Docs.
The Visio-style editor does not require any programming languages, you can
design and connect your pages via drag and drop.

Is Auto-Scrolling Good?

It's been a classic design principle that any scrollable view should
auto-scroll when an object is dragged outside or close to boundary of
the view.

Here's what Alan Cooper wrote in his "About Face" book:

"Auto-scroll is a very important adjunct to drag-and-drop. Wherever
the drop target can possibly be scrolled offscreen, the program needs
to auto-scroll.
