iPhone Story in Wired

Read the bit about the development phase:

"Yet here, in Apple's boardroom, it was clear that the prototype was
still a disaster. It wasn't just buggy, it flat-out didn't work. The
phone dropped calls constantly, the battery stopped charging before it
was full, data and applications routinely became corrupted and
unusable. The list of problems seemed endless.

Best tool for word processing on a Mac?

>From reading the Arial vs. Verdana thread, I wonder what designers' favorite
tool
for word processing on a Mac is. Framemaker has been mine in the past, but
is no
longer available for the Mac... and Word just doesn't cut it.

Cultural variations in how consumers interact withhealthcare websites

Hello from Spain. The same happens here, the user sequence is something like
this:

a) go and have a quick the official product 'website'
b) search at google to see what other users are talking about athe product
c) contact the manufacturer through a website form

This is what I could experience from two projects for chemical and
healthcare-related companies, six and two years ago.

Cultural variations in how consumers interact with healthcare websites

Hello all-

My company is trying to convince a client that there is tangible value
in doing research on the differences in how consumers in different parts
of the world interact with healthcare-related websites. For example, in
the US consumers often question the trustworthiness of a manufacturer's
website about its own products, but may place a lot of trust in an open
forum of other patients and consumers who are not doctors and are not
required to validate their opinions and observations.
