Axure RP Pro prototyping tool

You may want to take a look at stpBA at http://www.stpsoft.co.uk/story.

The tool is a Visio based GUI storyboarding and prototyping tool to visually validate requirements with business users. The tool generates HTML storyboards, screen flow diagrams, reader friendly UI specifications, functional specifications and test scripts.

One of the main strengths of the tool is the ability to capture requirements and validate these using a prototype.

Afforadance on Auto-Complete Input boxes

Does anyone have any good affordance/scent on an auto complete input box
(as in google suggest http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&complete=1)

Stuffing focus to textbox controls

This may relate to the recent auto-tabbing thread...

For using a proxy server to establish an internet connection, we have one checkbox for enabling the proxy, which makes active a textbox for the server and port plus another checkbox for authorization. Turning on the second checkbox enables username/password fields.

What should happen with the input focus when the checkboxes are turned on? Should it stay where the user last clicked, or should it move to the newly enabled textbox, or go somewhere else.

Software companies actually using UCD

I'm preparing to present an overview of UCD, Usability, and such to my
company's management.
I'd like to show them a list of familiar software (application) companies who
known to be using (and benefitting from) a UCD process (that is, they are doing
user research, iterative prototyping, and evaluation with users) as part of
their product design process.

Here are some I have heard of:
Google
Microsoft
IBM
Apple
Mathworks
SAP
Oracle
Cognos
Autodesk

Hourglass cursor in IE?

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to display the rotating hourglass cursor
after actor clicks on any button or link in my web application. App is
only supported by IE. This is a temporary fix to our latency issue...

Communications Chair. I want to encourage Designers of all types to consider
submitting work to the Design Community of CHI; there is an active push
within CHI to raise the awareness and respect of Design within the large HCI
professional world. This has been gaining momentum at CHI since the mid
nineties, and is beginning to see a great deal of traction.

Morae - video cameras

How many video camera streams can you run into morae at one time?

I'd like to run two at the same time, as I'd like to tape a mobile phone with one camera and then tape users with another camera. I

Any ideas? Unfortunately I do not have a copy of Morae at this time and Camtasia crashes when I try to record using two cameras at the same time.
