I disagree. Changing the profession, or blazing a new brand trail can change
the world. Revolutionary changes tend to come from outies, not innies. Well,
I guess that depends on your definition of outtie versus innie, is the
leader of a revolutionary company an outie or innie?

Anyone Use A Blog To Capture Design Ideas?

Hi All,

As a UI guy I've used a book/notepad to write down my meeting notes, design ideas, things to include in usability tests, etc. My process has been to go back to these notes to remind myself of my thoughts and in the past since I've normally been a department of one this has served me pretty well.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the tutorials by *Aaron Marcus and
Associates, Inc*.? Perhaps you took one or decided to take one from someone

designing for industry standards

I work in the healthcare industry and we are prepping to convert our
electronic health record to use industry-standard data structures for ease
of data exchange.

My question is whose responsibility is it to maintain knowledge of the
standard(s) to ensure that all the required data elements are captured? Is
it the IxDs, a separate organizational "standards guru" that acts as a
consultant to the IxDs, someone else, all of the above?
