Hej group,

This may be a little "off topic" but does anyone know about
antropemetric software that I can use in a student environment?

Software design specialization?

I just read an article proposing the need
and desirability for vertical specialization in design.

It made me wonder -- as a designer, which areas
of specialization would be most strategic for my
own future? In other words, what vertical markets
are now and in the future in most need of good
software (software specifically for me) design?
Naturally, I am becoming an expert in the field
of my current employer, but what other fields should
I be looking into? Automotive? Financial? Does
anyone have any thoughts?

Ethics of using MS icons

Perhaps this is too off-topic, but let's see.

We all know that the icons for open (folder), save (diskette), and print are widely duplicated from either MS Office or Windows, in innumerable systems. Files such as C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll show typical Windows icons when you set the properties of a file and click Change Icon.
