Hi Everybody,
I recently received a number of invitations to groups on LinkedIn... it occurred to me that we really should have an IxDA group. Is there one already? If not, I'd be happy to set it up and send the resulting invite out to the list.

You have a good point Matt — I only have it because I remember that thread and immediately joined - but their federated search doesn't allow you to find groups - which is odd.

yeah, i wasn't able to search for the ixda group either on L.I,, so I did an advanced search for "ixda", found a linkedin member that DID have the icon at the bottom of their profile, and clicked on the icon itself and i was able to request to be added that way (think someone has to approve me first tho so the jury's still out on the successful outcome).

Search for somebody you know will be in the group (me, Dave Malouf, etc.) and look at their groups. Dumb, but reliable. Oh, and I'm in a lot of groups. None of them seem to mean anything, but I'm ever hopeful.

The suggestion to include this with any kind of welcome message we provide when joining IxDA has been taken to the Board (thanks, Matt!).
We should also talk about what it means to affiliate to IxDA and see how we can be taking more advantage of that even on the ixda.org site as well.
